The Adventure Begins in 7 Days

Well, we have been planning, and talking, and reading and dreaming about this for a long time, and it will be here in 7 days.  Last year Ruth retired after 31 years with Oak Park Schools, and in 7 days Alan will retire after 30 years with Honigman Miller. We each had wonderful careers and made a ton of friendships that will last forever; our separate work friends threw each of us a surprise retirement party.  Here's a few pictures from Ruth's last year:

Alan's last day is June 30th; we are going to Hurvitz North for a few days before we start packing for our Alaskan cruise! Other trips in various stages of planning include the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Austin, Texas, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Zion, the Grand Canyon, Nashville, Memphis, and New Orleans.  We hope to post throughout our adventures, but it's dicey because Alan is serving as the IT department!
